Financial consultants, school psychologists, curriculum specialists, and of course experts at state and national Departments of Education are, in every case, The Decider. The group most directly affected by those decisions is never included in the decision-making process. I decided to find out how they felt about what students went through every day, every year. The following eleven video commentaries by top students in my Honors Physics class may surprise. After all, these are the students whose needs are seemingly best served by the status quo. They are going off to top colleges and universities, and are grooming their performance in high school classes to convince Admissions Officers to send them that prized epistle that begins, "It give me great pleasure to inform you that. . ." Surely these top-of-their-class students must be enthusiastic participants in their education. Right?
